MODSTOX SKEG-VEGAS WEEKENDER REPORT 2026 💥

The 2026 Modstox season burst into life at Skegness Raceway with a huge two-day Skeg-Vegas weekender. With 31 cars booked in and 29 drivers competing across both days, the grid was packed and ready – and it absolutely delivered from the first green flag to the final chequered.

DAY ONE – SKEG-VEGAS QUALIFIER (SATURDAY)

Saturday’s action saw 29 cars take to the track for the Skeg-Vegas Qualifier, and from the outset it was clear this season is going to be one of the most competitive yet.

The racing was fast, aggressive and unpredictable, with no single driver dominating the meeting. Instead, the wins were shared across the field, highlighting just how strong the grid is in 2026.

Max Harding showed serious early pace, taking a heat win and featuring consistently at the front. Josh Malt also made his mark with a race win and strong finishes throughout the day, while Adam Perkins proved he’s going to be a major contender this season with a win of his own .

Behind the front runners, there was no shortage of action. Tim Dyche put in a solid and consistent performance, while Hannah Chappell impressed with a second-place finish. Ben Lymn and Craig Underhill were also right in the mix, picking up strong points across the meeting.

Consistency proved key in the Driver of the Year standings, where Josh Malt came out on top after day one with an impressive 105 points. Heidi Clark secured second with 51 points, while Max Harding sat just behind on 50, keeping the pressure on heading into day two .

DAY TWO – SKEG-VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL (MONDAY)

Monday brought the main event – the Skeg-Vegas Championship Final – and the intensity stepped up another level.

With another near-full grid, the racing remained close throughout the heats, with drivers fighting hard for position and valuable points. Once again, there was no easy route to the front, with battles across the entire field.

Max Harding carried his momentum into day two, topping the grading points for the meeting with 50 points and taking two heat wins. His consistency across both days marked him as one of the standout performers of the weekend .

James Faultless delivered when it mattered most, putting in a strong all-round performance before going on to win the Skeg-Vegas Championship Final. Liam Sankey followed him home in second, with Josh Malt rounding out the podium in third .

Adam Perkins once again showed consistency, finishing third overall in the meeting points and backing up his strong start to the season. Other notable performances came from Terry Williams-Hawkins and Craig Underhill, both remaining competitive throughout the day, while Katie Billington also featured strongly with solid finishes.

CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS AFTER SKEGNESS

Following the opening weekend, the National Championship standings are already shaping up into a tight battle at the top.

Adam Perkins leads the way with 117 points after a consistently strong weekend. Max Harding sits close behind on 110, while James Faultless’s final win pushes him into third with 101 points .

Further down the standings, drivers like Tim Dyche, Craig Underhill and Sam Woods are all within striking distance, showing just how competitive the field is early in the season.
