The Modstox headed down to the south-west for their inaugural visit to the Smeatharpe Stadium Raceway near Taunton. A fast but tight tarmac oval, which is well suited to the Modstox was greeted by 10 cars.
Opening and closing race victories went to Jonathon Clare (294) from the rear of the grid whilst Dave Kilby (63) gained his first win in his own car in the second heat. The final went the way of Dave Brawn, for his first final victory, following on his upturn in form and results from last season. Brawn also recorded an impressive 3rd from the lap handicap in the Grand National to pip Jonathon Clare to top-score by one point.
